So this is kinda like a balaclava only balaclavas make the wearer look totally menacing where as these make the wearer look 100% awesome and anything but scary. They are called the Berdcap and they are the clever creation of Vík Prjónsdóttir, an Icelandic design collective.

According to their website, the beardcap refers to a traditional cap called “lambshed-hood” which was used in Iceland by farmers who in heavy snowstorms had to walk long distances between their sheds and to the neighboring farms.

There is not a great use for it in our part of the woods however it could be a fun accessory on the slop this year for all you gentleman folk…

Instant Comfort

I think everyone has had one of those days, the rubbish kind where you wish you hadn’t got out of bed? Words don’t come out as well as they usually do (even after coffee) and the day descends into such crapiness that you’re sure there is some evil force masterminding it all. Fortunately a lovely little operation in the Netherlands, Kim’s Little Monsters has a pocket-sized cure for such occasions. It’s The Instant Comfort Pocket Box. Adorable! With such sweetness, how could it not turn your day around?!

Queen of the Castle

We’ve seen these little lovely felt artworks by Castle around blog-land for sometime now but only just realised: a) they were felt and b) they are the creations of a local girl, Rachel Castle. Castle also creates bed linen, cushions, and felt garlands in her uniquely bright and crafty style. A visit to her website cant help but make you happy.
