Tis the season

We couldn't let Christmas roll around without a festive related entry and ta-dah here it is, the loveliest tree alternative we could find. Easy to replicate too, you can pretty much use any old trinkets lying around and some 3M wall tape.  The maker of this grandness is Jane from All the Luck in the World, she has a lovely little blog you can find here.

Black Butt timber, don't you just love the name! This lovely light was made by the very talented Industrial Designer Richard Harrod (who just happens to be my husband) in 2009, using Black Butt timber and acrylic. Very nice! x Mel

How great is this? Its made up of approximately 2,500 match sticks and a total of 24 hours. It's the work of Pei-San Ng. So simple and SO clever!

Found it!

I've been wanting to blog about these little wooden wonder for ages now, only I couldn't remember where I had seen them or who made them. Fortunately they had a stand opposite ours at Finders Keepers Markets on the weekend so I can now introduce you to the clever operation that is Bride and Wolfe. This piece I am currently coveting Monsieur Chapeau, is comprised of three reversible parts, one side is painted either white or black and the other side natural wood grain. Love!

Finders Keepers

We've just spent a couple of days at the Sydney Finders Keepers Market, which was a lot of fun.  Here is a little peek at our stall and the fab expanse of space the markets are held in.  Definitely worth checking out next time around in case you missed it.
