Cut and Paste

We adore the work of Julien Vallee! He is a Canadian designer living and working in Berlin, who is putting old school cut and paste back into graphic design, typography and motion graphics.

His unique approach is not only colourful and super cute but the tangible element to his work cant help but be admired for the mere crafting effort that goes into creating these beautiful images.

Here is one of his latest works, its an interactive video made for the If You Could Collaborate exhibition in London. This experiment is about re-discovering our daily surroundings.

We love.

We spent a very pleasant afternoon hanging out, eating cheesecake and taking photos with the super talented photographer and great friend Megan Fizell from Tres Jolie Studios. These are the result.  We ADORE them!

Little scapes

Being great fans of all things small, these little beauty's have caught our eye. They are made by the very clever Mylyn Nguyen. You can see more of her work at the Brenda May Gallery.

The Litte Book of Bearded Chaps

I just bought this lovely little zine by Mechelle B. It's simply constructed, beautifully illustrated and I love it.

The Crochet Comeback

Whether you like it or not, (clearly we love it) crochet is making a comeback! It can once again be seen gracing the catwalks and vying for space in home furnishing stores. We are currently coveting these luuuverly stools and classic old school blankets from a Netherlands group called Wood & Wool Stool.
